ELLEVATION EDUCATION TAKES A STRONG STANCE ON DIVERSITY HIRING

ELLEVATION EDUCATION TAKES A STRONG STANCE ON DIVERSITY HIRING

Boston-Based EdTech Leader Signs Deal to Use Mogul’s Diversity Hiring Software

(NEW YORK) -  Mogul, Inc., a diversity-focused HR Tech and executive recruitment firm, today announced that it has partnered with Boston-based Ellevation Education, the nation’s leading software solution for English learners (ELs) and the educators who serve them. Ellevation will use Mogul’s innovative Talent Acquisition Platform to attract, source, and hire top, diverse talent.

Ellevation Education has maintained a strong history of prioritizing DEIB initiatives to ensure that its teams are diverse and inclusive. In fact, half of all leadership roles at Ellevation are currently held by women.

“Ellevation’s team has increased from 29% to 41% of underrepresented ethnicity over the past year. What we liked about the Mogul platform was the large volume of diverse candidates that we can engage for targeted recruitment efforts, such as sourcing for DevPro (Product and Engineering) talent,” said Mary Kang, Ellevation’s VP of People Strategy.

In addition to ensuring a robust talent pipeline as part of its hiring practices, Ellevation has implemented interview training, feedback scorecards, and a company values interview step to eliminate unconscious bias and deliver a positive candidate experience. “Ellevation’s DEI Champions is a group of passionate volunteers collaborating to identify opportunities to foster a workplace of belonging, inclusive of all races, ethnicities, genders/gender identities, and other social identities. Our actions are in service of our mission to help multilingual learners achieve their highest aspirations and accelerate our work to build a more just society,” said Kang.

Increasingly, many companies like Ellevation are turning to diversity-focused recruiting platforms to augment their efforts to source diverse talent, as traditional software often features algorithms that unconsciously favor non-diverse candidates. In contrast to traditional systems, Mogul’s platform offers access to 494 million diverse candidates across 195 countries.

Mogul’s platform has disrupted the HR Technology industry with patent-pending software filters that allow recruiters to source diverse talent in several ways, including by gender, ethnicity, disability status, and veteran status, without limiting search results. No other talent acquisition platform offers this combination of abilities right now.
