At Cobbs Allen, our people are our greatest asset. Our success is based on embracing our colleagues’ diverse array of experiences, talents, and ideas. We firmly believe that these contribute to smarter decision-making and improved outcomes, ultimately driving our success. At times the insurance industry has fallen short on DE&I. We will do better and are committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels.
We embrace diversity of background, perspective, culture, and experience across our firm, including our client and insurer relationships. We firmly believe that diverse perspectives and collaboration among colleagues generate better ideas to solve the complex problems our clients face.
We believe that discussing, promoting, and engaging in DE&I work helps employees feel safe, respected, and more connected, which leads to a strong sense of community at Cobbs Allen.
Our first Impact Day was a tremendous success, with an outstanding turnout from our Cobbs Allen and CAC Specialty colleagues. A big thank you to the DE&I Committee, CAC Cares, and Cobbs Give Back, who led the charge in organizing our first-ever Impact Day in July 2023. Together, we made a significant difference by volunteering and supporting non-profit organizations in our seven largest cities, partnering with food banks, a homeless shelter, and the Salvation Army, to name a few.
Highlights from our first Impact Day include volunteer projects in Birmingham, Denver, Houston, New York and Atlanta, with more than 125 colleagues participating. Looking ahead, we aim to expand Impact Day to encompass all CAC/CAH offices, creating regional volunteer events where employees can support local community organizations. We want every employee to have the opportunity to engage and take action in support of underrepresented and marginalized groups within our communities.
We are thrilled by the success of our inaugural Impact Day and appreciate our colleagues' support and engagement.
