Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux is a founding partner of Global Space Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on growing a portfolio of breakthrough space ventures into global space leaders. In addition to being an early investor in the commercial space sector, she has played a key role in the growth of the industry as co-founder of space technology company Escape Dynamics which successfully completed in 2015 a multi-year R&D program that significantly advanced beamed energy propulsion for space launch and was recognized by Fast Company in 2016 as the #3 Most Innovative Space Company behind SpaceX and Blue Origin. She is a former partner of Renaissance Technologies’ fundamental direct investing group, served as a founding principal of TPG Axon, and advised on over $8 billion in merger and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs which she joined in the late 1990s. Laetitia earned an MBA from ESSEC and Harvard Business School and has received numerous industry accolades and honors including being named a “Rising Star” by Institutional Investor in 2010 and a “Top 15 Most Influential Entrepreneur” by Vanity Fair France in 2016. She serves on the board of the National Museum of Mathematics (MoMath), as a Truman National Security Fellow, as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New-York, and as an Advisor to “Space for Humanity”.
